PSYCHOTHERAPY

If we are lucky in this life we will experience many inner deaths,
each an opportunity to shed the scaly skin of yesterday,
to embrace our own expansion,
and enter a next dimension of life.

If we fail to die, we fail to grow

THE THERAPEUTIC CONTAINER IS A SACRED SPACE

THE THERAPEUTIC CONTAINER IS A SACRED SPACE

I see the potential of the therapeutic container to be a sacred space to compassionately witness and accompany individuals in the alchemical process of healing and growth.

.In some cases this looks like deep attunement and tenderness and sometimes this looks like challenging calcified beliefs and opening to the possibility of a more expansive cosmology.

My Therapeutic Approach

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE’RE IN BODY?

When we drop into the body, we often time travel to different experiences along the journey of our lives and are given the opportunity to experience completion where once there was wounding.

Sometimes we simply drop into the truth of what is right underneath the surface of our social mask and finally get to feel and come into deeper congruence between our inner experience and our outer presentation.

We use movement, sound, touch, image, meaning and deep attunement to weave in a new thread to an old pattern.

I also pull from the wisdom of EMDR especially when working with a particularly sticky pattern or belief or if that modality really clicks for the individual.

HOW I MEET MY CLIENTS

As a therapist I will meet clients with curiosity and compassion, to empower the wisdom of their inner healer.
I can sit with clients in whatever they are experiencing whether shame, grief, devastation, depression, rage, peace, joy, gratitude.

The larger container of this work lives within the depth perspective, an eclectic approach that can be perhaps partly revealed through the following quote:
“I am a human being; I consider nothing human alien to me.

Within this overarching framework, I frequently use Somatic Experiencing (a bottom up approach) to step beyond recounting our stories and into a deep listening to the wisdom of the body/physiology.

WHAT THIS MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

This might look like listening to what my client is sharing and then reflecting and ultimately inviting them into the body by saying ‘what are you noticing in your body as you share that?’

‘I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach,
I believe in meeting people where they are and carrying a torch with them, side by side as we walk the inner labyrinth
toward soul.’
